It is important for us to gather as community, so we host several events throughout the year to bring us together as a parish family for fun and great fellowship. These event committees only meet during the planning of the respective events and offer a lighter time commitment than some of our Parish Ministries. Please call the Rectory Office at 216-524-1394 for more information regarding these Parish Community Events.
PARISH MARDI GRAS - A New Orleans Style Celebration that typically takes place on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, better known as "Fat Tuesday." Our 2017 Mardi Gras is scheduled for Saturday, February 25th in the Parish Hall at 6:30pm. The committee, made up of members from the Pastoral Council and other volunteers generally meet three times to coordinate the event (one meeting in each of the two months prior to the event and once the week before the event.)
PARISH FISH FRY - Offered on the Fridays during Lent with the exception of Good Friday, the Parish Fish Fry, sponsored by the Holy Name Altar & Rosary Society, has been hailed as one of the best Fish Fries in the Diocese. There are no committee meetings, but we are always in need of volunteers to help us set-up, serve, and clean up. Come support the "Best Fish Fry in Town!" The 2017 Fish Fish begins on Friday, March 3rd and goes until Friday, April 7th, 2017.
PARISH CELEBRATION - This event, held in mid to late October every year is growing into a wonderful community-based weekend. The 2016 Parish Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd. The Parish Celebration's Main Event is its Oktoberfest Dinner & Raffle on Saturday night. Professionally catered and loaded with entertainment, Chinese raffle baskets, 50/50 raffles and more, it's an evening of great fun for everyone in the family. The Celebration concludes on Sunday morning after the 10am Mass with our complimentary Parish breakfast. The committee starts meeting at the end of July.
