PB&J Sandwich Saturday
3rd Sunday of the Month - 9:00-10:30am ST. MICHAEL SCHOOL CAFETERIA (RAPPE HALL)
Feeding the hungry is one of the seven Corporal works of mercy.
We make an estimated 700 to 1000 sandwiches each month for those in need and we are so grateful to everyone who helps make this happen. The kindness of our parishioners and friends has allowed us to help feed our brothers and sisters in Christ. We partner with St. Ambrose Church in Brunswick who distributes 2,800 to 3,000 PB&J sandwiches each week along with fresh fruit and lunch snacks. St. Ambrose’s distribution network includes the University Settlement, Bishop Cosgrove, West Side Catholic Center, Peter Maurin Center, Saint Augustine Hunger Center, Saint Stanislaus, Saint Ignatius Homeless Ministry, Homeless Connection, Lake Side Men’s Shelter PB&J Sandwich Saturday is a great opportunity to meet fellow parishioners, build the St. Michael community to Serve with the Compassion of Christ! We meet the 3rd Saturday of each month at St. Michael School cafeteria 9am-10:30am. Please bring Peanut Butter, Jelly, 2-3 loaves of bread and plastic sandwich bags.
