St. Michael Church, as a parish is committed to meeting Christ through prayer and being Christ for the world.
We do this through our participation in the Liturgy; giving ourselves in prayer and praising the Lord through the celebration of the Mass.
We do this through our participation in the ministries of the Church that evangelize, build community and help others who need our charity and compassion.
We do this through our participation in the activities that help us as a prayer community to grow in faith and fellowship.

St. Michael Church is proud to be one of the oldest Churches in the Diocese of Cleveland. Serving close to 1,800 families in Independence and our surrounding communities, St. Michael Church is located in the heart of Cuyahoga County. Founded in 1851, it celebrates over 170 years of Catholic Tradition. Through the weekday and weekend Liturgies, through our various parish ministries and events, our parish staff and community is committed to the mission of meeting Christ through prayer and being Christ for the world.
